Cooking method
We will start cooking this amazing dish by putting the oven to heat up to 190 degrees Celsius. while it is warming up, we will not waste time.
So, let's prepare the ingredients:
- peel the garlic cloves from the husk, thinly slice them into plates (each clove into about six longitudinal plates), transfer to a small ceramic or glass bowl;
- wash the bay leaves, dry them, tear one of them into several parts;
- wash and dry thyme sprigs with napkins.
Start cooking:
1. Pour a little water into the ladle, literally half a glass, bring it to a boil. Then pour boiling water over the garlic plates and immediately drain the water. You can do without a ladle, but just use a kettle.
2. Remove the brie cheese from the box, then line the box with a sheet of parchment and return the cheese back. If your cheese was not in the box, just line the parchment form with a suitable size and put the brie in it.
3. Using a small knife, we make cuts in the cheese from top to bottom - eight pieces. We insert garlic cloves into these incisions.With the tip of the knife, we push them deeper, but not to the very bottom.
4. We make more cuts in the cheese head from top to bottom in the amount of six pieces. Then pour white wine on the surface of the cheese.
5. Lay out the remaining garlic plates on top of the cheese, the torn bay leaf, whole bay leaves, thyme sprigs, which can be left whole or torn into several parts. Left whole will look more aesthetically pleasing on the finished dish. Sprinkle the cheese with freshly ground black pepper.
6. Cover the cheese with foil and put it in the oven that has managed to warm up to the desired temperature for 25 minutes. During this time, the cheese should have time to melt.
Immediately serve the baked cheese on the table. Boiled new potatoes and fresh herbs, as well as pieces of toasted bread, are perfectly combined with it.
Bon appetit!
