Step-by-step cooking
I wash young potatoes with a brush. Then we cut it into 4-8 slices: first into halves, then into quarters. And put it in a saucepan. As usual, pour cold water, pour a little salt and bring to a boil (under a closed lid). We continue to cook in boiling water for 2 minutes (with the lid open). Drain the water, put the potatoes in a colander, let it cool down a little.
Preheat the oven to 220C. Line the baking sheet with foil and smear with olive oil. You can mix olive oil with herbs, hot pepper, garlic powder, and then roll potato slices in it. Put all the slices on a baking sheet with the tip up. Then sprinkle with coarse salt and ground black pepper.
Bake until browned for 20-25 minutes.
Useful tip: small pieces of bacon can be cut and pinned with half a toothpick to a potato. While the fat is being melted, it will be absorbed into the potatoes, and a delicious pork pie will remain at the top.
