Children love this food very much. The fact is that sweet potatoes do not require the addition of sugar or spices. Sweet potatoes are sweet and have their own unique taste. They are used in other culinary recipes, for example, in sauces for noodles. But they are eaten separately - raw, fried and boiled. Sweet potato tubers up to 30 cm long, juicy, with tender flesh and thin skin. They do not have eyes, and sprouts develop from hidden buds. Depending on the variety, the tubers are spherical or spindle—shaped, and in color - white, pink, pale yellow and orange.Sweet potatoes are the main source of starch in all of Polynesia. For this recipe, we choose orange fusiform tubers.
Thoroughly wash our sweet potatoes with a brush. Put it in a preheated oven and bake for thirty to forty minutes. When the sweet potatoes are baked and the skin has shrunk, we take them out of the oven and cut them in half. With a brush, we apply butter to the slice, it can be thicker. We send it back to the oven and bring it to the appearance of a crust.
When serving, sweet potatoes can be peppered and even lightly salted. But if we decide to leave them sweet, we can decorate them with mint or basil leaves on top.
