Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make pork meat chips at home? Prepare the products. Brisket can be taken as a whole piece, or ready-made slicing. Choose the quantity and composition of spices according to your taste.
Step 2:
Cut the brisket into thin long strips with a very sharp knife, after putting it in the freezer for a while so that the meat freezes. So it will be easier to cut it. I already bought a thinly sliced brisket, so I skip this step.
Step 3:
Cover the baking sheet with baking paper or a special baking mat. Place the prepared slices of meat on top. Breast slices can be placed close enough, since when cooking in the oven, the slices will decrease in size.
Step 4:
Prepare the dressing. In a small bowl, mix vegetable oil with spices, I took dried garlic, hops-suneli, ground paprika and salt.
Step 5:
Using a pastry brush, brush each slice of brisket liberally with fragrant oil with spices. The baking tray with future meat chips is sent to the preheated to 100 °With the oven. Dry them for 4-5 hours, the chips should become firm and crispy. Remove the finished chips from the oven, cool and serve to the table! Bon appetit!
There are two more options for cooking meat chips:
1. You can fry slices of pork belly in a frying pan, in this case you do not need to add oil. This is probably the most harmful way of cooking chips.
2. You can cook chips in an electric dryer by setting the temperature to 80oC. It is also necessary to cook chips in an electric dryer for 4-5 hours.
Instead of pork brisket, you can use any other meat, even poultry meat, however, due to the lack of a layer of fat, such chips will not crunch.
You can also experiment with spices or remove them altogether, leaving only salt. Thus, we will get natural meat chips with a taste of salt, which I give my preference to.
As it should be, according to the best traditions, crispy chips are served with cold beer. And of course, we do not abuse such a snack!
In addition to pork, any other meat can be used in this dish. Keep in mind that the cooking time, as well as the taste and calorie content of the dish will change. For example, beef is cooked longer than pork, and chicken fillet or turkey is less.
Since the degree of salinity, sweetness, bitterness, sharpness, acid, burning is individual for everyone, always add spices, spices and seasonings, focusing on your taste! If you put some of the seasonings for the first time, then keep in mind that there are spices that it is especially important not to shift (for example, chili pepper).
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
