Homemade Sweet Farmer's Cheese Dessert
A natural, tasty, and healthy farmer's cheese dessert! Unlike the store-bought version, this homemade sweet farmer's cheese contains no preservatives, dyes, or flavorings. The ingredients are completely ordinary, and it doesn't take long to make.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
How do you make a homemade sweet farmer's cheese dessert? Gather the ingredients. Use a ripe, fragrant banana - adding it lets you use less sugar in the treat, which in turn makes it healthier. Wash and peel the banana, cut the flesh into pieces, and put it in a blender jar (or another bowl if you're using an immersion blender or other chopping tool).
-
Step 2:
Mash the banana into a purée. If you don't have a blender, you can just mash it with a fork.
-
Step 3:
Use natural farmer's cheese with no vegetable additives. It's better to buy a fresh farm product, especially if this treat is meant for children. If you're watching your diet, you can use a fat-free product or low-fat farmer's cheese. If the cheese is grainy, it's better to press it through a sieve so it becomes softer and smoother.
-
Step 4:
Add the farmer's cheese to the blender jar with the banana, along with heavy cream, sour cream, or ryazhenka; as an alternative you can use unsweetened yogurt or another dairy product. These add-ins affect the calorie count of the finished dessert, so choose at your discretion. Add sugar to taste or leave it out entirely, and you can add a pinch of vanillin or cinnamon.
-
Step 5:
Blend the ingredients into a smooth farmer's cheese mixture. Letting the blender run 3-4 minutes at medium speed is enough. If you don't have one, you can use a hand whisk or a masher.
-
Step 6:
The dessert is ready - put it into bowls or other serving dishes, let it chill a little in the fridge, and serve. If you like, you can sprinkle chopped walnuts or grated chocolate over the top. Enjoy!
