Swedish Meatballs

Swedish cuisine dish is exquisite and at the same time affordable! Swedish meatballs have a distinctive feature: they do not need to be boiled, they are fried in a frying pan or baked in the oven and are usually served with sauces. Instead of bread, it is better to add cereal flakes to the minced meat, they give the dish an interesting note and make it not look like traditional meatballs.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 20 min

1. Let's start cooking meatballs:

- pour the flakes into a bowl, pour milk, leave for 10 minutes so that they swell;

- then we break the egg to the flakes and spread the minced meat, mix the mass thoroughly;

- garlic is cleaned, passed through a press, added to the resulting minced meat, and also do not forget to add salt;

- with wet hands, we form meatball balls and put them on a baking sheet, send them to the oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes.

2. Prepare the berry sauce, for this we grind the cranberries in a blender to a puree-like state, add starch and salt, adjust the taste with sugar, enrich with coriander. Mix everything thoroughly, heat it in the microwave in a couple of steps, once 30 seconds, then mix and repeat the heating.

3. To prepare the milk sauce, put the butter in a frying pan, melt over low heat. Pour flour into the melted butter, mix with a whisk so that there are no lumps, fry until a light golden color. Pour milk into the resulting mass, keep it on fire until the sauce thickens.

Serve meatballs on the table with milk and berry sauce.

Bon appetit!
