Step 1:

Prepare all the products according to the list.
Step 2:

Cover the baking sheet with foil and lubricate it with vegetable oil.
Step 3:

Now we prepare the dough: combine the dry ingredients – sugar, flour, semolina, coconut chips, chopped walnuts and almonds, baking powder and vanilla, mix.
Step 4:

Separately combine kefir, egg and vegetable oil, mix with a whisk until smooth.
Step 5:

Pour the liquid mass into the dry mixture.
Step 6:

Knead the dough well with a spoon or whisk.
Step 7:

Pour the thick dough into the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
Step 8:

We lay out the kernels of walnuts and almonds on the surface of the dough, preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Step 9:

Put the baking sheet in the oven for 40-50 minutes.
Step 10:

While the basbusa is baking, prepare the syrup: combine hot water with sugar and lemon juice, mix so that the sugar dissolves.
Step 11:

Cook the syrup for 10 minutes on low heat, then remove from the stove.
Step 12:

We take the baking sheet with basbusa out of the oven, let it cool down a little.
Step 13:

Cut the hot basbus into small rectangles.
Step 14:

Pour the sliced basbus with warm lemon syrup over the entire surface. The syrup should completely soak it.
Step 15:

Leave the finished basbusa on a baking sheet until it cools completely.
Step 16:

When the basbusa cools down, we transfer it from the baking sheet to a flat dish and serve it with tea.
