Cooking method
1. Turn on the oven to 180-200 degrees Celsius, depending on the power of the oven and the selected mode.
2. It is better to choose large apples. So that later each baked apple corresponds to one serving. Wash the fruits thoroughly under running water and dry with a paper towel.
From the tail side, cut off the top of each apple and use a special ice cream spoon to scoop out the middle of the fruit deep into about 2/3 of the part. If the apple is soft, then you can do it with an ordinary spoon, otherwise it is better to use a sharp knife.
3. Cut the cut-out parts of the apples into small cubes and put them in a bowl.
4. In a separate container, mix cinnamon and brown sugar. Walnuts cut into small pieces and add them to the spices. Apples cut into pieces should also be sprinkled with spices and nuts. Mix everything well. This mixture will be stuffed with apples.
5. Put whole apples with cut-out centers on a deep baking sheet or in a suitable baking dish. Fill each apple with a mixture of chopped apples with spices and nuts. Put a small piece of butter in the middle of each fruit and sprinkle cinnamon on top.
6. Pour a glass of water into a baking tray and put the stuffed apples in a preheated oven to bake for an hour, or until the apples are covered with an appetizing brown crust.
7. Put the baked apples on a plate. Pour maple syrup on top of the apples (you can replace it with caramel) and decorate with cinnamon sticks.
Serve baked stuffed apples hot. If desired, you can decorate with ice cream, melted chocolate and cranberries or currants.
Bon appetit!
