Cooking method
-
Step 1:
How do you make pasta with mushrooms and chicken in cream sauce? Get the ingredients ready. Choose white champignons with no dark spots or damage. You can use any shape of pasta. For the chicken I like to use thigh fillet — it's not as dry as breast fillet, for example. Use cream of any fat content; the higher the fat, the creamier the flavor.
-
Step 2:
Peel the onion, rinse it in cold water, and chop it finely. Rinse and dry the chicken. Then cut it into small pieces of roughly the same size.
-
Step 3:
Rinse the champignons under running water to wash off any grit. Then dry them on a paper towel. Cut the washed champignons into pieces.
-
Step 4:
Use a roomy, deep skillet for frying. Heat it until hot and pour in a little vegetable oil. Add the cut chicken to the hot skillet and fry, stirring, for 4 to 5 minutes.
-
Step 5:
Then add the chopped onion and champignons to the chicken in the skillet. Fry everything together for another 2 to 3 minutes. Then lower the heat and cover the skillet.
-
Step 6:
Cook everything covered, over low heat, for 15 minutes. In that time the chicken cooks through and the mushrooms brown and shrink.
-
Step 7:
Add the cream to the skillet. In a separate glass, stir the flour with cold water and pour it into the skillet. Add the minced garlic, salt, and a little spice. Add a little grated cheese. Stir everything and bring to a boil. As it heats, the cream sauce thickens and the cheese melts.
-
Step 8:
While the chicken and mushrooms cook, boil the pasta alongside according to the package directions. Then drain it in a colander so the excess liquid runs off.
-
Step 9:
Mix the chicken and mushrooms in cream sauce with the cooked pasta.
-
Step 10:
Divide the finished dish among plates and sprinkle a little grated cheese on top.
-
Step 11:
Enjoy!
