Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients for the dough.
Step 2:
Add yeast and sugar to warm milk, mix everything.
Step 3:
Add egg, vanilla and melted butter.
Step 4:
Sift flour with salt and add to the milk mixture. Knead the dough.
Step 5:
Roll the dough into a ball, put it in a bowl and let it come up in a warm place for 1 hour.
Step 6:
Let's do the filling.
Step 7:
Peel the apples and cut into arbitrary pieces.
Step 8:
Melt the butter in a frying pan, add apples, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Stir and simmer the apples until soft. Just don't overdo it, so that the apples don't lose their shape.
Step 9:
We take out the dough that has come up and knead it.
Step 10:
Divide the dough into arbitrary pieces (depending on what size pies you want to get). Roll out a piece of dough into a rectangle. We spread the filling on the center, and cut the sides of the dough into strips (see the photo).
Step 11:
Alternately intertwining the dough strips, we form a pigtail. We do this with the whole test.
Step 12:
We leave the finished braids in a warm place for 20-30 minutes to rise. The approaching braids are greased with egg and baked in a preheated 180 C oven for about 20 minutes.
Step 13:
Let the finished braids cool down.
