Step-by-step cooking
This recipe is designed for 6-8 servings. This food from Tatar cuisine is very popular not only among the Tatar people, but also among the peoples of the former CIS countries. Every country probably has something like this. Tunterma is prepared as follows: in a deep bowl, break the eggs and beat them until smooth with a mixer or a broom. Then add warm milk, a pinch of salt, and butter (be sure to melt). Mix everything thoroughly with a mixer. After that, we pour out semolina or sown flour and mix thoroughly again so that there are no lumps. The mass should have the consistency of thick sour cream. Then we pour our mass into a frying pan, greased with fat, and put it on the fire. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and as soon as our mass thickens, you need to put it in the oven for 5 minutes. The finished tunterma is greased on top with fat and served on the table, pre-cut into small lozenges. Tunterma is a simple and hearty Tatar omelet, which is ideal for breakfast. We serve this dish sprinkled with herbs for breakfast with tea.
