Step-by-step cooking
I want to offer you a culinary recipe for a fragrant and very tasty Latvian rhubarb pie. After a trip to relatives in Latvia, I fell in love with him so much that I decided to bake him at home on my own. It turned out very tasty :) So I boldly recommend you to try it!
Take 2 eggs and separate the whites from the yolks. We breed yeast in warm milk and add yolks, sugar (100 grams), butter, vanilla and flour. Knead the dough thoroughly and leave it in a warm place for 40 minutes, for an hour. At this time we are engaged in stuffing. To do this, cut the rhubarb stalks into pieces 1 centimeter long and cover with the remaining sugar (200 grams). Rhubarb will release juice in 30 minutes.
Roll out the finished dough to a thickness of 1 cm, put it in a baking tray so that the sides remain. Sprinkle with crumbled cookies and spread the rhubarb with sugar. Rhubarb juice is not poured out! Add sour cream, a third egg and vanilla to it. Pour the resulting mixture into the pie, you can also sprinkle cookies on top.
Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes, it all depends on the characteristics of the oven. We use it with tea :) Bon appetit!!
