Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Knead the dough from cottage cheese, butter, eggs and flour. Do not forget to add salt and baking powder. The dough turns out tender. We leave it in the refrigerator for now.
Step 2:
From oil (1 tbsp.l.), water (2 tbsp.l.) and sugar (2 tbsp.l.), cook caramel in a frying pan. A little thick. Add the diced apple, stir, boil-fry for three minutes and leave to cool.
Step 3:
Roll out the dough into a thin layer and cut out circles using a glass or a molding ring of suitable diameter. Then we put the cooled apple filling in the middle of the blanks and sprinkle it with cinnamon.
Step 4:
Then blind the edges of the circle, forming a pie like a dumpling or pizza calzone, turning the edges with your fingers. I got 8 pieces, small and neat, I used only half of the dough! Before baking, lubricate the pies with milk to get a golden crust.
Step 5:
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at a temperature of 170-180 degrees. We take the finished pies out of the oven and leave them to cool, then sprinkle them with powdered sugar and cinnamon. It remains only to put the kettle on and call everyone to the table. Enjoy your meal!
My improvisation was crowned with success, and therefore I was happy to share the recipe with you. I really hope that after you have learned how to bake cottage cheese pies in the oven with apple and cinnamon, you will immediately want to try this simple recipe. And if so, then very soon your family will receive delicious cookies for a treat. As a drink, you can use anything you want: black, green tea or with all kinds of flavorings (raspberries, cherries, strawberries, lemon, blackberries, etc.), cocoa with milk or just milk, fermented baked milk or kefir, fruit or berry compote or jelly, etc. The recipe is not complicated, the dough and filling are prepared quickly and in a proven way. Due to the fact that we pre-caramelize the apples, the filling will not flow out of the pies.
