Step-by-step cooking
First boil the syrup from water and sugar. When the syrup just boils, immediately reduce the heat and cook until the sugar completely dissolves. Remove from heat and allow to cool. The syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
Peel the grapefruit, separate 4 slices, squeeze the juice from the rest and pour it into 4 cocktail glasses. Add 50 ml of vodka and a little sugar syrup to each glass to taste. Mix the cocktail well.
Dip grapefruit slices in sugar and decorate the rims of glasses with them. Here's the Hemingway cocktail.
