Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 d 11 h

1. In a saucepan, mix sugar and water. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.

2. Rinse the plums. The bone can be removed by cutting the plum in half or left with a bone.

3. Add plums to boiling sugar syrup, bring to a boil and cook for about a minute. Then leave at room temperature in a closed form for 10 hours. Then boil everything again and cook for about a minute and leave for another 10 hours. Repeat the procedure one more time.

4. Separate the plums from the syrup, leaving them in a colander until all the syrup drains (2-3 hours). Syrup can also be prepared for the winter by boiling it again.

5. Roll the plums in powdered sugar, shake off the excess powder. Then put the candied fruits to dry until fully cooked in an electric oven or oven with minimal heat. Check candied fruits from time to time - they should be dry, moderately soft, not hard.

It is necessary to store candied fruits in a tightly closed form so that they do not dry out.

Have a nice tea party!
