Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare ice in advance by pouring filtered water into a special ice freezing mold. Put the mold with water in the freezer, thus preparing ice. Now take a glass, pour vodka into it.
Step 2:
Next, add salt, ground black pepper, a little lemon juice to the glass. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Step 3:
Next, put ice cubes in a glass. Despite the fact that when preparing most cocktails with vodka, ice is added to the glass first, and only later the rest of the cocktail components, when preparing "Bloody Mary" experienced bartenders first mix vodka with pepper, salt and lemon juice, and only after that they put ice in the glass, because this way the ingredients mix better, improving the taste of the cocktail. That's what we'll do.
Step 4:
Now add Tabasco sauce and Woosters sauce. These sauces can be discarded and not added, but it is not desirable, because they give special flavors to the cocktail. For example, Worcestershire sauce has a sweet and sour taste, and tabasco has a spicy spicy taste, because it is a sauce where the basis is pepper, vinegar and salt.
Step 5:
Pour in cold tomato juice. And mix all the ingredients again.
Step 6:
The final touch will be the decoration of the cocktail. Take a sprig of celery and insert it into a cocktail glass, also insert a straw into the glass.
Step 7:
The cocktail is ready.
Step 8:
Enjoy a cocktail, drink it through a straw in small sips, as this drink belongs to the group of long drinks and do not forget to snack on celery.
Step 9:
You can serve olives, pickles, tomatoes when serving. You can also put them on a skewer and decorate a cocktail with them.
Step 10:
You can also decorate a cocktail with a fresh cucumber circle.
Why is the Bloody Mary cocktail called that way?
Version I
According to legend, this cocktail was named after the first English queen and ardent Catholic Mary I Tudor (1516-1558). For the brutal massacres of Protestants, she received the nickname Bloody Mary. This is the only queen in the history of England who does not have a single monument.
Version II
Writer Ernest Hemingway was a drinker and wanted to leave in the memory of fans the name of his fourth wife Mary, who made scandals when Hemingway came home drunk.
