The culinary recipe of this dish refers to festive food: we marinate the chicken on the eve of the feast, and then bake it in the oven with potatoes. Let's cook chicken baked with potatoes and thyme. Remove the leaves from the sprigs of fresh thyme and mix them with chopped garlic cloves (3 pcs.), olive oil and sea salt. Next, pour the juice of half a lemon into the marinade and mix well. We put the washed and dried chicken in a plastic bag and pour the marinade there, tie the bag and turn it over several times so that the marinade is evenly distributed. We leave the chicken to marinate in a cold place for at least 3 hours. After the time has elapsed, we take the chicken out of the bag, put a lemon pierced in several places, garlic cloves with skin and thyme sprigs inside. We put the prepared chicken in a baking dish together with half-boiled potatoes sprinkled with olive oil. Bake the chicken in a preheated 200 degree oven for 1-1.5 hours.
