Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make apples in syrup for winter? Prepare everything you need: apples, a few sprigs of mint and sugar. Which varieties of apples are better to use? Any fruit will do, if the apples are very sweet, then take a pinch of citric acid for a brighter and richer taste. The number of apples in the recipe is specified conditionally, it all depends on how tightly you will put them in jars.
Step 2:
Wash the apples thoroughly and dry them with paper napkins. Cut each apple into slices, removing the core and the attachment points of the stalks.
Step 3:
Wash the jars well and sterilize them in any way convenient for you: in a microwave oven, oven or in a water bath. Lay the apple slices to the top.
Step 4:
Rinse the mint in clean water. Put one or two sprigs in each jar, it depends on how much intense mint flavor you want to get in the finished dessert.
Step 5:
Pour boiling water over the apples. Pour in the water carefully and gradually so that the jars do not crack.
Step 6:
Cover the jars with pre-sterilized lids and leave this way for 15-20 minutes.
Step 7:
Drain the water from the apples into a small saucepan, add sugar. Sugar will be required per liter of water 400 grams. In order not to make a mistake in the calculations, I drain the water from the cans first into a measuring cup, and then into a saucepan. I got about half a liter of water and added 200 grams of sugar, respectively. So, add the required amount of sugar and send the pan to the fire. After boiling, reduce the flame to moderate and leave until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 8:
Pour the jars with the ready-made hot syrup.
Step 9:
Close the lids with a special key.
Step 10:
Turn the workpiece upside down and leave it under a warm blanket or towel until it cools completely. Put the apples in a cool, dark place for long-term storage. I have jars on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator.
From the specified number of components, I got two cans of 0.5 liters
each.
Bon appetit!
