Daiquiri cocktail was born in Cuba, but has become very popular and loved by many. Now the classic recipe has been slightly modified, adding fruit juice or mashed potatoes instead of sugar syrup. The fruit version of the drink also has a place to be, but the classics need to be remembered.
To get a delicious result, it's not enough just to add a spoonful of sugar to a shaker - you need syrup for this. The syrup is prepared directly for the drink, but you can use it ready-made, if there is. It's a good idea to prepare syrup for the future and use it as needed.
A simple syrup consists of sugar and water, which are taken in a ratio of 1:1. Rum is best used light. Regarding lime juice, fresh is needed. This moment cannot be ignored, there are not so many ingredients and freshly squeezed lime juice means a lot.
1. So, immediately prepare the syrup. Pour a glass of sugar into a saucepan, pour a glass of water, send it to the fire. Keep on fire, stirring, until the sugar crystals completely dissolve. Then cool the syrup. To cool the syrup faster, it can be poured into a metal bowl and placed in a container with cold water.
2. Pour the rum into a shaker, add the specified amount of syrup and lime juice here. Also add ice cubes and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Ice will not only cool the cocktail, but also add a small amount of liquid, and it will not hurt.
3. Filter the drink through a strainer, pour into a chilled glass. The cocktail should have a light cloudy color. Here it is, Daiquiri!
Enjoy!
