Cooking method
1. Pour water into a saucepan, pour granulated sugar into it. We send the pan to the stove on a low heat and bring the contents to a boil. Cook the syrup for ten minutes, then remove from the heat. As a result, you should get about 300 ml of syrup.
2. The orange peel is very well washed under warm running water. You can even rub the peel with the back of the sponge, which is hard, to make sure to remove the wax that citrus fruits are covered with to increase shelf life. We put the peel on the bottom of the glass container. You can just use a two-liter jar.
3. Mix the syrup and moonshine, and then pour the prepared orange peel with this mixture. Close the lid tightly and place the container in a dark place at room temperature for 5-6 days. The peel will first float on top, but after a couple of days it will sink to the bottom. By the end of the term, the tincture will become a beautiful yellowish color.
4. When time passes, the drink needs to be filtered through gauze folded in several layers. In principle, it is already ready for use. But you can pour it into beautiful bottles, seal it tightly and send it to be stored in the cellar. Such a tincture is stored without problems and with the preservation of a bright taste, aroma and color throughout the year. And even a little more. But, as a rule, it is not enough when it lives up to such deadlines, because it is used earlier, thanks to its excellent taste qualities.
Happy holidays and delicious spirits!
