Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h

How to make a salad with crab sticks and pickled cucumber? Crab sticks must be removed from the freezer in advance so that they have time to defrost. And at this time, you can start cooking this delicious salad.

Boil the eggs first. Boil them hard-boiled, cool under cold water, peel and cut into small cubes. If you take eggs already boiled in advance for the salad, the cooking time will be reduced to a minimum. Immediately transfer the chopped eggs to a salad bowl.

Then peel the onion from the husk, rinse the onion, remove excess moisture with a napkin. Next, finely chop the onion. If desired, the onion can be marinated in vinegar for 10 minutes or just pour boiling water and drain. But you can do nothing with the onion. All this depends solely on personal preferences, as well as on how sweet or pungent the onion is. Of course, if it is caustic, it is better to get rid of bitterness. But sweet will be delicious in a salad and fresh. Place the chopped onion to the eggs. If it has been marinated, it is necessary to squeeze it thoroughly (directly with your hands).

Next, cut the pickles. It is best to cut them into small cubes, commensurate with the chopped eggs. So it will be tastier, and the appearance is more presentable. Cucumbers are also sent to the salad bowl.

Peel and cut the thawed crab sticks into small pieces, combine them with the rest of the ingredients. Mix everything well.
Wash and dry the dill, chop it finely. Add to the future salad. Next, sprinkle the salad with spices (garlic powder, ground black pepper and others if desired) and Provencal herbs to taste. Season the finished salad with mayonnaise. Mix everything well and taste it. If necessary, add salt, mix thoroughly but gently again.

Put the salad in the refrigerator for half an hour so that it cools down, and the ingredients "make friends" with each other. After that, it can be served to the table.

Bon appetit!

It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.

How to cook hard-boiled eggs? So that the eggs do not crack when cooking, put them in cold water and put them to cook on a small fire. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then pour cold water and cool. From a sharp temperature drop, the shell will be better cleaned.
