  • The other day I had a craving for jelly. I don't make it very often, mainly because most recipes call for fresh fruit, which I don't usually have a lot of at home. So I found a recipe that worked for me—one made from fruit juice: grape jelly. Honestly, it came out even tastier than the jelly I'd made from other recipes. For anyone interested, here's how to make this dessert. Start by taking grape juice (from a carton or bottle, light or dark, with or without pulp—your choice), pour it into the pot you'll make the jelly in, and set it over medium heat. When the juice has warmed up a little, sprinkle in the pectin and stir the contents of the pot thoroughly. Then turn the heat up a touch and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Add the granulated sugar, stir, and bring it back to a boil. Take the jelly off the heat, pour it into containers, and chill them. Once the jelly sets, it's ready to eat!
