Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the necessary ingredients for making a salad "A well-fed boatswain" with salmon and red caviar. If the squid is frozen, they need to be thawed. You can do this at room temperature, but it is better to leave it in the refrigerator for several hours.
Step 2:
Clean the squid from the inside, as well as from the outside of the skin and thin film.
Step 3:
Lower the squid into boiling salted water. After boiling, cook the squid over moderate heat for 2 minutes. Remove the squid and let it cool.
Step 4:
Cut the squid into thin strips.
Step 5:
Remove the skin from the salmon fillet, cut into strips.
Step 6:
Hard-boiled eggs, cool, peel. Grind the eggs on a fine grater.
Step 7:
Put a layer of salmon on a flat plate. Optionally, you can lubricate the fish with mayonnaise. I decided not to do this, since the salmon is already quite fat.
Step 8:
Put the grated eggs in the next layer, smooth the layer a little. Add salt if desired.
Step 9:
Mix squid with mayonnaise.
Step 10:
Lay out the squid in the next layer.
Step 11:
Grate the parmesan on a fine grater.
Step 12:
Put the cheese on top of the salad.
Step 13:
Decorate the salad with red caviar. Enjoy your meal!
In addition to the taste advantages, the salad to some extent has a share of usefulness due to sea delicacies. All of them contain a large amount of protein, which is easily digested, as well as useful fatty acids and vitamins.
Squids have a rich amino acid composition and do not contain cholesterol.
Red caviar is especially appreciated for its high content of vitamins A, E, D and folic acid.
In order for squid to be soft, they cannot be digested. If, however, it was not possible to remove the squid from the water in time, then it is recommended to cook them for about 40 minutes. Only after that, the squid carcasses will be able to become soft again. However, then they will significantly decrease in size.
If the salad is prepared in advance, then it is better to decorate it with red caviar just before serving. This way the caviar will better retain its fresh glossy appearance.
