Krasnodar Sauce with Apples, Tomatoes, and Cinnamon for Winter

Unusual and incredibly tasty—you won't want to buy store-bought sauce again. I love this preserve; it's a thousand times better than anything from the store.

Cooking method

    Wash the tomatoes, cut them into rough pieces, put them in a pot, and steam them. Cool, then press through a sieve.

    Put the apple and tomato purée in a pot, stir, and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes to cook off the liquid.

    Add the spices, sugar, and salt to the sauce and simmer over low heat for another 10 minutes.

    Add the minced garlic and the vinegar, and boil for 5 minutes.
