Step 1:
The ingredients you'll need.

Wash the tomatoes, cut them into rough pieces, put them in a pot, and steam them. Cool, then press through a sieve.

Core the apples, cut them into pieces, steam them the same way, and cool.

Press through a sieve until you have a smooth purée.

Step 5:
Put the apple and tomato purée in a pot, stir, and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes to cook off the liquid.

Add the spices, sugar, and salt to the sauce and simmer over low heat for another 10 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and the vinegar, and boil for 5 minutes.

Pour into jars and seal. Enjoy!
