Chinese-Style Braised Chicken Feet

Golden, appetizing chicken feet braised in soy sauce! This dish may seem unusual to us, but it's very common and popular in China. The feet are best eaten warm or hot, sprinkled with chopped herbs and scallions.

    1. Rinse the chicken feet well and trim off the nails. 2. Put the feet in a pot, cover with cold water, and add the rice vinegar. Once it comes to a boil, season with salt and add the sugar. Cook for 5 minutes from the moment it boils, then drain off the water and let the excess liquid run off. 3. Set a saucepan over the heat, let it warm up, and add the vegetable oil. Fry the feet a few at a time until golden and crisp. 4. Stir together the soy sauce with the rest of the ingredients and add a cup of water. 5. Pour the sauce into the pan with the fried feet and cook for 20 minutes. Serve the dish hot.
