    1. Boil the macaroni in lightly salted water until half-cooked, then drain it in a colander.
    1. Steam the broccoli (washed first and broken into florets) for 4 minutes (I steam it right over the pot of pasta — it's convenient and saves a step).
    1. Put the butter in a saucepan over the heat and melt it. Stir the flour into the melted butter and mix.
    1. Pour the milk into the mixture in a thin stream, having warmed it first in the microwave or on the stove, and cook the sauce until thickened.
    1. Add the mustard, paprika, nutmeg, ground black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and salt to the sauce and stir (if the sauce isn't smooth and has lumps, push it through a sieve).
    1. Grate the parmesan and half of the cheddar. Add the cheeses to the hot sauce and whisk until they melt completely.
    1. Put the macaroni in a baking dish, pour in all of the fragrant sauce, add the broccoli, and mix.
    1. Grate the remaining cheddar over the top, then bake in an oven preheated to 350°F (180°C) for 15–20 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
  • Enjoy!
