- Rinse the chicken hearts well with water. 2. Peel the zucchini (if it's young, you can leave the skin on). Peel the onion and carrot as well. 3. Cut the vegetables into cubes. 4. Add the vegetables and hearts to the slow cooker and pour in the water. 5. Add the sour cream and spices, and salt to taste. 6. Cook in the slow cooker on the "Stew" setting for 40 minutes. 7. Spoon into bowls and sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs.
