Cooking method
-
Step 1:
How do you make a delicious napa cabbage salad? Get all the ingredients ready.
-
Step 2:
Peel the carrot and garlic, and remove the damaged tough outer leaves from the napa cabbage. Drain the liquid from the canned corn. Rinse all the vegetables under cold running water.
-
Step 3:
Cut the napa cabbage into thin strips. Put it in a large cup, salad bowl, or bowl.
-
Step 4:
Grate the carrot on a coarse grater and add it to the cabbage. You can use a julienne (Korean-salad) grater so the carrot looks more appetizing.
-
Step 5:
Grate the smoked cheese as well and add it to the salad bowl.
-
Step 6:
Add the canned corn to everything else.
-
Step 7:
Just the finishing touches left. Grate the garlic on a fine grater or press it through a garlic press. Add the garlic and mayonnaise to the salad bowl. You can add more mayonnaise if you like. I don't much care for salads "swimming" in mayonnaise, so I try to use it sparingly. The salad will be very tasty with homemade mayonnaise.
-
Step 8:
Mix the salad thoroughly and taste it. If needed, add salt to taste. I do without salt — the cheese is salty enough for me.
-
Step 9:
The salad is ready to serve! Sprinkle with coarsely chopped herbs and ground pepper if you like.
- Napa cabbage is a unique and very healthy vegetable. Its tender leaves are very juicy, so they're added to salads, vegetable sandwiches, and much more. Cabbage contains a whole array of beneficial vitamins, amino acids, mineral salts, proteins, and more. In the salad in this recipe, you can adjust the amount of any ingredient to your taste. Making a napa cabbage salad is very quick, which is a big plus when you're short on time. On hot summer days, put the finished salad in the refrigerator for a while and serve it chilled. Enjoy!
