Sweet Watermelon Jelly Slices
An original, eye-catching recipe — a taste of hot summer! The look of the finished dish really impressed me. You could even serve it at a party, and it's simple to make.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Cut the watermelon in half.
-
Step 2:
Scoop out the flesh with a spoon and squeeze the juice out of it. Add sugar if you like. Soften the gelatin in 200 ml (about 1 cup) of water and leave it to bloom — 15 to 40 minutes, depending on whether you're using sheet or powdered gelatin. Warm the bloomed gelatin over low heat until it dissolves, without letting it boil, then let it cool to room temperature. Gradually stir in the watermelon juice until smooth.
-
Step 3:
Pour the mixture into the watermelon halves and refrigerate until the jelly is fully set.
-
Step 4:
Now cut the watermelon into wedges. A delicious dessert is ready!
