  • I love pasta in all its forms — to me it's a truly Italian invention, gourmet food, you might say. But one day a recipe I came across in a book of American cooking really caught my eye. It's built around very healthy asparagus and turkey, a favorite of many people, myself included. So let me introduce the dish I'm making today: pasta with asparagus and turkey. I season the turkey fillet with salt and pepper, sprinkle it with a little vinegar, and add olive oil. Then I cook the meat on the grill and, once it's done, slice it into thin strips. I put a pot of water on the stove, salt it, and cook the pasta. When the pasta is almost done, I add the asparagus and cook everything until tender, then drain. I drizzle the pasta with olive oil and add the grilled meat. I toss it all together, season with black pepper, and get it to the table quickly so it doesn't cool down. This dish comes together fast and on a budget — and the flavor is something to envy. Go ahead and give it a try; your family will be thrilled with a dinner like this.
