- Tear the lettuce leaves, and cut the onion, peppers, and tomato into small pieces. Cut the ham, salami, and chicken into thin strips. Combine the meats and vegetables and add the grated cheese. Then add the mayonnaise, olive oil, seasoning, basil, and red pepper. Mix everything thoroughly. Refrigerate for half an hour. Cut a hole in the center of each roll to form a bowl. Try to scoop out all the soft inside without breaking through the walls of the roll. Stuff the rolls with the chilled meat-and-vegetable salad. Cut the scooped-out bread into pieces and serve them alongside the stuffed bread bowls.
