Dolma with Mint and Short-Grain Rice
A flawless traditional dish that wins you over from the first bite. It's not hard to make — or to devour.
Cooking method

Step 1:
Boil the grape leaves for 5 minutes; if they're fresh, skip these steps.

Drain them in a colander.

Line the bottom of the pot with the imperfect leaves.

Sauté the onion in oil with the spices until golden, turn off the heat, and add the ground meat and the rice (pre-boiled for 4 minutes). If the mixture is too dry, add a little broth. Let it cool.

Lay out the leaves smooth side down.

Place 1 teaspoon of filling on each and start rolling.

Cook over medium heat for 40 minutes.
