Fasting-Friendly Potato and Mushroom Patties

Really tasty, fuss-free meatless patties. You can use any mushrooms you like for this recipe.

Cooking method

    Put the potatoes in cold water and cook for 25–30 minutes after the water comes to a boil.

    Meanwhile, finely chop the mushrooms and onion.

    Sauté the onion with the mushrooms.

    By now the potatoes should be done. Peel them.

    Mash the potatoes until smooth.

    Add the sautéed mushrooms and onion, plus salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.

    Shape into oval patties, roll them in breadcrumbs, arrange on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil, and bake in a preheated 400°F (200°C) oven for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
