Cooking method
- Start by peeling the potatoes, onions, and garlic. Cut the onion into half-rings and spread them over the bottom of a pot. Press the garlic on top of the onion. Then slice the potatoes into rounds about a quarter-inch (half a centimeter) thick and lay them in a single layer over the onion and garlic. Mix all the spices with the vegetable oil, add two cups of hot water, stir well, and pour this mixture over the vegetables. Cover the pot, set it over high heat, bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cook for about 40–45 minutes. For the last 10 minutes, let it simmer uncovered. When the time is up, you'll have a very hearty and delicious side dish! Enjoy!
