Cooking method

When I was little, I was always attracted to the bright orange buds-boxes that stood on my grandmother's bedside table. I thought they were some kind of flowers designed just to decorate the room. What was my amazement when I found out that it turns out to be successfully added to food and that I have repeatedly eaten jam from physalis (as it turned out, this fruit was called). When I grew up, my grandmother taught me how to cook this very jam. And now I, in turn, will tell you about this very simple culinary recipe. So, we start by taking the ripe fruits of physalis, washing them, piercing them in several places and pouring hot sugar syrup. The syrup is prepared as follows: mix half a liter of water with half a kilogram of sugar, heat over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Now we leave the berries in this sugar syrup for about 6-8 hours. After this time, add another half a kilogram of sugar, heat the mass and cook for 7-10 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved. After that, we stand the mass again for 6-8 hours. After that, add the sugar again, cook for 3-5 minutes and again stand for 6-8 hours. After that, we lay out the finished jam in sterilized jars, close the lids.
