Pork and Pumpkin Soup
This soup will leave even the hungriest person full and content. These days it's a rare lunch that doesn't start with a soup, and many home cooks don't give it a second thought — after all, even a plain broth is nourishing on its own. Most people reach for beef or chicken, but pork makes a wonderfully tasty soup too. And since our pork soup recipe is a little out of the ordinary, your family is sure to sing its praises at the table.

- To make this pork soup, rinse the loin well and cut it into small pieces. Put it in warm water and bring to a boil, then drain off that first broth. Now for the next ingredient — the pumpkin. Peel it and remove the core and seeds, then cut it into pieces the same size as the pork. Pour water into a pot and add the pork. When it comes to a boil, turn the heat down low and cook until done. About 15 minutes before the end, add the pumpkin pieces and salt the soup. Once the pork soup is ready, stir in the MSG. Mix everything and serve. I like to pepper this soup right in the bowl, and preferably with white pepper — that's just my preference.
