- Take the meat and rinse it under cold running water. Trim off the membrane and any sinew, which is no good—hard to cut and to chew. Boil the meat in one whole piece until done, then remove it and let it cool. At the same time, put the beet on to boil; once it's cooked, cool it and peel off the skin. Cut the cooked meat and beet into cubes about ¼ inch (5 mm). Dice the cheese and a hard-boiled egg the same way, and finely dice the onion. Combine all the ingredients in one bowl. Add the finely chopped garlic and the walnuts, which you've toasted beforehand in a skillet. Dress the dish with mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper to your own taste. Garnish the Naryn with fresh herbs and walnut halves. Enjoy!
