Step 1:
Measure the ingredients.
Step 2:
Mix salt, sugar and ground black pepper.
Step 3:
Wash the beef, dry it and cut into medium pieces.
Step 4:
Peel the onion and cut into half rings.
Step 5:
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, put the beef and sprinkle with a mixture of salt, sugar and pepper, mix.
Step 6:
Fry on high heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes. The sugar should start to caramelize.
Step 7:
When the beef is browned, put the onion in the pan, mix. Fry for about 5 more minutes until the onion is transparent.
Step 8:
Pour 100 ml of hot water.
Step 9:
Reduce the heat to a minimum, cover the pan with a lid and simmer the meat for 30-35 minutes until tender.
