Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients. To make cutlets from crab sticks, we will need: crab sticks, egg, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, ground black pepper and salt.
Step 2:
Chop crab sticks very finely or grate on a medium grater.
Step 3:
Combine mayonnaise with 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs and mix.
Step 4:
Add crab sticks and egg to the mayonnaise mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix thoroughly.
Step 5:
Mix thoroughly.
Step 6:
Form small round cutlets from the resulting mass. It is better to form them with wet hands, otherwise the minced meat will stick to your hands. Roll them on all sides in the remaining breadcrumbs.
Step 7:
Fry the crab patties in a frying pan in vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown.
Step 8:

Crab sticks as a product have firmly entered our lives, although there is no crab in them at all. This beautiful imitation often becomes a wonderful addition to salads. Crab sticks are only imitation crab meat. The product contains many ingredients that have been pressed in this form, then painted red, similar to the shell of crab meat. Most often it is sold frozen, it is only necessary to defrost and you can eat without further preparation.
Crab sticks, also known as kanikama, were originally produced in Japan in 1973 in the form of artificial crab meat. The very first manufactured and patented imitation meat came from Osaka Suisan in 1974.
Two years later, the product was introduced in California, USA. Later kanikama became known in Japan, and a few years later on the international market in the form of crab sticks, ocean sticks, sea legs.
