Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make chicken in sour cream sauce in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for this. Any chicken parts are suitable for this recipe. You can only use chicken fillet. I will use chicken fillet cut a little from the chicken breast, thighs and shins. And the rest of the chicken with bones can be used to make broth.
Step 2:
For cooking, preheat the frying pan to a hot state and pour a little vegetable oil on it. Cut the chicken fillet into pieces of approximately the same size. It is not necessary to cut very finely. Lay out the chicken and fry it in a hot frying pan for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
Step 3:
While the chicken is frying, prepare the onion. Peel it from the husk, rinse it in cold water and finely chop it. Add the onion to the pan to the chicken and fry everything together for another couple of minutes. Then cover with a lid and leave to simmer for 15-20 minutes. A little juice will appear from the onion, which should be enough for stewing. But if necessary, you can add a little water so that the chicken does not start to burn.
Step 4:
In a separate bowl, stir sour cream and mustard in a small amount of water. If you want to get a thick sauce in the chicken, then at this stage add a little flour to the glass. 1 tablespoon will be enough.
Step 5:
Pour the resulting sauce over the chicken. Add a little crushed garlic for flavor. Add a little salt and spices to taste. Mix everything and bring to a boil. The chicken in sour cream sauce is ready!
Step 6:
Arrange the chicken on plates and serve to the table. In addition, you can prepare any side dish. Enjoy your meal!
Chicken can be replaced with turkey or any other type of meat at your request. But keep in mind that in this case, the cooking time and calorie content of the dish will change.
To check whether the oil has warmed up well enough in the pan, you can do it in a simple way. Lower a wooden spatula into it. If bubbles have gathered around it, then you can start the frying process.
If you use ready-made spice mixes, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish.
