Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Defrost the fish, because you rarely buy it fresh. We'll cut off the tail and fins, clean everything inside.
Step 2:
We will wash the carcass, dry it and cut it into small pieces without removing the ridge.
Step 3:
Salt the pieces just right and season with spices. Let them marinate, and we'll cook the rest.
Step 4:
Chop finely peeled onion.
Step 5:
Then peel the washed carrots and rub on a large grater.
Step 6:
Pour oil into the bowl of the slow cooker, turn on the "frying" mode. Let's fry the carrots with onions, it will take about 10 minutes. Don't forget to turn it over!
Step 7:
While we roll the fish in flour.
Step 8:
Onions and carrots are ready, pour them with tomato juice, salt and season with spices – let it continue to cook, turn off as soon as the mass begins to boil.
Step 9:
Pour the gravy into another bowl, wash the bowl, wipe it dry and pour the oil. Fry the hake, not forgetting to turn it over. Remember that the oil must heat up well, otherwise the fish will stick to the bottom of the bowl.
Step 10:
That's it. You can send tomato and vegetable gravy to hake. Let's put it all out for 10 minutes in the "quenching" mode and turn it off. Let it stand under the lid for another 10 minutes.
And more tips
Do not cook a hake dish if it has been defrosted several times. Not only will it not be very attractive, there will be little useful left in it.
If he takes a frozen hake, choose the one that was subjected to rapid freezing.
If the gravy is sour, add a little sugar at the end.
You can add greens to the gravy at the end of cooking.
Mushrooms will also behave perfectly, instead of onions and carrots.
If you don't want a lot of fat and bother with frying, put the vegetables in a bowl and stew under the lid in tomato diluted with water (if desired). And then mix with the hake and stew in gravy.
If there is no tomato juice, take the puree, dilute with water.
