Simple Sandwiches with Sprats

Simple, very tasty little sandwiches for you and your guests! You'll also need a toaster to make these. If you don't have one, you can lightly toast the rye bread in a dry skillet as a last resort.

  • So, cut the slices of rye bread in half to make triangles. Lightly toast the bread in the toaster, then rub them with half a garlic clove while they're still hot. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side of the bread, just to make the sandwiches juicier. Lay a slice of pickle on the mayonnaise, and one sprat on top. In the end you'll have 12 sandwiches. You can garnish them with a sprig of parsley.
