American chicken and vegetable pie

Cooking time: 2 h

DOUGH:
1. Mix sour cream, butter, soda, salt;
2. Add flour, knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands;
3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator;
FILLING:
4. Cut the meat into small pieces;
5. Chop the onion, put it in a frying pan with oil to fry;
6. Cut carrots into cubes, put them to the onion;
7. Fry vegetables until soft;
8. Add the chicken, stir, fry until the meat turns white;
9. Add salt, pepper to taste, mix, remove from heat;
10. Add the sauce, peas, mix. And you can optionally add sliced potatoes, mushrooms, etc. to taste;
SAUCE:
11. Put butter in a frying pan, melt;
12. Add flour, mix;
13. Add warm milk, mix;
14. Cook the sauce until thickened;
15. Add salt, pepper to taste, mix, remove from heat;
PIE:
16. Put the filling in a mold with a diameter of 26 cm;
17. Roll out the dough according to the diameter of the mold;
18. Grease the edges of the mold with yolk;
19. Transfer the dough to the mold;
20. Press the edges of the dough well to the shape;
21. Make a hole in the center of the pie;
22. Grease the whole pie with yolk;
23. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees;
24. Cover with foil, bake for another 10-15 minutes;
SUBMISSION:
25. Serve the pie hot;
26. Cut a circle in the middle of the pie;
27. Spoon the filling from the circle into the plate and break off a piece of ruddy dough;
