White-Bread Sandwiches with Tuna, Lettuce and Cucumber
These sandwiches with their original ingredients will liven up any menu! Quick, delicious, with lots of fresh vegetables and healthy plant oils. I put the cucumber sandwiches together intuitively. I first tried similar sandwiches in the States — they had tuna and avocado too, but in completely different combinations.

Cooking method
- Americans often make something like a closed sandwich: they add egg, mayonnaise and cane sugar to the tuna and put it all in a halved bun. I don't remember what they put in the avocado sandwiches, so I'll offer my own version. Toast the bread until golden, drizzle with mustard or sesame oil, and sprinkle with salt. Don't tear or cut the lettuce leaves — lay them on top whole. Thinly slice the vegetables. Layer the avocado and tomato on a lettuce leaf. Close with a piece of toast. Decorate as the mood takes you. For the tuna sandwich, I recommend trying a cucumber-and-tomato combination. Layer everything the same way and close with toast. You can sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on both sandwiches. Now wouldn't these make great sandwiches for a holiday table?
