Apple-Banana Kefir Fritters
Sss-sss — the fritters are sizzling! Mmm — what a wonderful smell! These fritters make a great breakfast for the whole family. They're incredibly tasty and come together quickly and easily.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Get everything you need ready and sift the flour.
-
Step 2:
Pour the kefir into a bowl and add 2 eggs.
-
Step 3:
Add the sugar, a pinch of salt, and the baking soda.
-
Step 4:
Beat with a mixer until smooth, about a minute.
-
Step 5:
Add the flour and mix well. You can add a little vanilla for flavor.
-
Step 6:
Peel the banana and apple and grate them on the coarse side of a grater.
-
Step 7:
Add the grated fruit to the batter and mix well. As you add apples and other juicy fruits, the batter may loosen up. It also thins out toward the end of cooking. You can always stir in more flour at any stage.
-
Step 8:
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet, spoon in the batter a tablespoon at a time, and fry on both sides. If you're using a nonstick pan, just brushing the surface with oil is enough.
-
Step 9:
The fritters turn out soft, airy, and tender.
-
Step 10:
Dust the finished fritters with powdered sugar, pour some tea, and sit down at the table. Serve them with sour cream, jam, honey, condensed milk, or whatever you like.
