Hearty Sausages with Herbs in Batter

A simple recipe for sausages stuffed with herbs and wrapped in cabbage, then fried in batter — just for you :) You can make it with wieners too.

  1. Step 1:

    Boil the cabbage leaves in salted water until soft. Make a batter from the flour, egg, salt, pepper, and water — it should be on the thick side.

    Slit each sausage lengthwise without cutting all the way through (butterflied), stuff it with the chopped herbs, and wrap it in a strip of the cabbage.

    Dip the sausage into the batter so all sides are coated. Season the batter however you like.

    Fry on all sides in a hot, oiled skillet. Enjoy!
