Bean and Mushroom Stew

Cooking method

Step 1:
Gather the ingredients — I cooked the beans ahead of time until tender.

Step 2:
Chop the onions.

Step 3:
Slice the mushrooms.

Step 4:
Lightly sauté the onion.

Step 5:
Add the mushrooms and sauté lightly as well.

Step 6:
Do the same with the bell pepper.

Step 7:
Stir in the tomato sauce and season with salt to taste.

Step 8:
Add the pre-cooked beans and stir to combine.

Step 9:
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 10:
Serve with any side you like — I suggest a bed of sauerkraut.
