Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the necessary ingredients. For those who do not like the slight bitterness of green salad, I recommend replacing it with tender leaves of Peking cabbage. It also gives a fresh taste, but does not wither so quickly. And cilantro, which has a rather sharp aroma, can be replaced with the usual parsley.
Step 2:
First of all, prepare the marinade: finely chop the green onions and parsley
Step 3:
Remove the cores from the garlic cloves, this is done so that there is no unpleasant aftertaste after eating. And we will remove the seed part from the chili pepper, since it contains the most burning. However, lovers of spicy food can skip this step.
Step 4:
Chop garlic and chili pepper
Step 5:
Mix the herbs, garlic and pepper in a deep bowl with olive oil and juice squeezed from a lemon. Add salt to taste. Mix thoroughly. You should get a semi-liquid mass with a slight sourness. This is the marinade.
Step 6:
Put about 2 tablespoons of marinade on a flat plate
Step 7:
Next, lay the chicken breasts and put 2 more tablespoons of marinade on top. Leave for 2 hours in a cool place
Step 8:
Add finely chopped cucumber and tomato to the remaining marinade, mix and also set aside for now
Step 9:
As soon as the chicken breast is marinated, we put it on a hot frying pan together with the marinade. I didn't need additional oil for frying, because the oil is contained in the marinade. First, fry the breast on high heat on both sides for 2 minutes, then reduce the heat and fry until golden brown. Readiness can be checked with a toothpick. It is important not to over-dry the fillet!
Step 10:
We heat the buns if necessary and cut them in half lengthwise
Step 11:
Lubricate the bottom half of the bun with a small amount of mayonnaise. I can also recommend adding a little mustard.
Step 12:
Put a leaf of green lettuce or Peking cabbage on top (without a hard petiole)
Step 13:
Cut the finished chicken fillet in half lengthwise, and then cut into small pieces
Step 14:
Lay the breast on the bun
Step 15:
And spread the salsa on top. Cover each bun with the other half and serve.
Kids will think they're at McDonald's. Homemade hamburger with chicken fillet is ready! Enjoy your meal.
