Cooking method
I bring to your attention a culinary recipe of Italian cuisine that will not leave anyone indifferent and for whom food is primarily a pleasure.
The basis of this recipe is, first of all, the culinary recipe of the sauce. Lettuce salad with Venetian sweet and sour sauce we will start with the preparation of the sauce.
Take a frying pan, pour out about 1/4 cup of olive oil and heat to medium temperature. Put the chopped garlic in the heated oil and bring it to a golden color. Then add nuts and currants. If it's not the season for currants, raisins will perfectly replace it. Fry for about 2 minutes and add pieces of chocolate, honey and vinegar. It is vinegar combined with honey and chocolate that will give piquancy to this sauce. Bring to a boil and cook the sauce until it becomes thick and viscous. It will take about 4-5 minutes. At the same time, the sauce must be stirred continuously, otherwise it may burn. Now you can add salt and pepper.
Now you need to cook the grill. We warm it up.
We take a head of radicchio lettuce and cut it into strips, or rather wedges 2-3 cm thick. The resulting strips of lettuce should be fastened with toothpicks or any other wooden sticks. Just don't take plastic ones if you don't want to give the salad the taste of a chemical plant. Next, we cut the endive into several parts across. It does not need to be fastened, it is strong enough.
Now we put the pieces of salad on the grill and cook until it becomes brownish in color. Don't forget to flip the pieces. And another very important point, at the beginning of cooking salads on the grill, you need to lightly lubricate the pieces with oil.
When the salad pieces are sufficiently baked, we put them on a dish and pour the sauce over them. That's it, Lettuce with Venetian sweet and sour sauce is ready. This salad is served hot. Enjoy your meal.
