Fried bananas in batter with ground star anise and vanilla

A wonderful dish for lovers of exotic fruit! In general, I am a huge fan of a variety of exotic fruits and, in particular, bananas. I have repeatedly prepared the most diverse food from them according to culinary recipes or at the call of my own imagination. Recently, a friend visited Kerala (in India), from where she brought an incredible recipe for bananas in batter. Now almost every week I indulge myself with this delicacy. I advise you to try to cook it and try it.

So, we start by taking the unripe bananas, freeing them from the peel and putting them aside for a while. Now we prepare the batter. To do this, beat a chicken egg with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, then gradually add flour to the mass. The batter should acquire the consistency of sour cream. After that, add the star anise and vanilla. Back to the bananas. We cut them in two lengthwise and across. Now we take a frying pan, heat it up, pour coconut oil into it and heat it up. Now we soak the bananas in the batter and carefully place them in the pan. In this way, we fry our fruits on both sides. When all the bananas are fried, we put them on a dish and serve them to the table.
